We’re pleased to share that our Proposal Writing for Medical Research Workshop was successfully held in collaboration with RIMS Ranchi from July 26th to 28th, 2024. This three-day workshop was designed to equip healthcare professionals and researchers with the essential skills needed to create well-structured and effective research proposals. Our aim was to provide attendees with the tools they need to succeed in the increasingly competitive field of medical research funding.

The workshop covered:

• Basic Principles of Proposal Writing
• How to Organize and Format Research Proposals
• Aligning Proposals with Funding Requirements

This workshop was aimed at healthcare professionals, medical researchers, and postgraduate students involved in research. More than 30 participants attended, creating a productive environment for learning and networking.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. Marie Gilbert Majella from PROPUL Evidence and Dr. Premkumar Ramasubramani from MGMCRI for leading the sessions. Their expertise and guidance provided participants with valuable insights into the proposal writing process, and their interactive teaching style encouraged active participation. We would also like to acknowledge Dr. Tanveer Rehman, Dr. Anjani, Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Ritik Agrawal, and Dr. Srijeeta Mitra for their exceptional coordination and support, which were instrumental in ensuring the smooth running of the workshop. Their efforts contributed significantly to creating an engaging and productive environment for all attendees.

Participants provided positive feedback on the workshop’s content and organization, particularly appreciating the practical approach, well-structured sessions, and clear guidance on proposal writing. The focused discussions on aligning proposals with funding requirements were especially valuable, offering strategies for navigating the funding landscape. This encouraging feedback inspires us to continue organizing training initiatives that help the research community develop essential skills for crafting successful research proposals, contributing to impactful research endeavors.
