We are delighted to announce the successful conclusion of the two-day hands-on workshop on Research Methodology and Protocol Writing, organized by PROPUL Evidence LLP in collaboration with Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College (SVDC), Puducherry, on 17th and 18th December 2024.

This workshop provided an immersive and enriching experience for participants, including researchers, students, and academicians, aiming to enhance their research skills through practical and engaging sessions.

On the first day, participants explored the nuances of generating innovative research ideas and formulating precise research questions. The day also included practical training in conducting comprehensive literature searches, with a focus on mastering PubMed search strategies. Additionally, sessions covered randomization techniques to ensure unbiased research studies and guided participants in calculating sample sizes using OpenEpi, equipping them with essential tools for robust study design.

The second day delved into the statistical aspects of research, offering detailed insights into descriptive and inferential statistics for interpreting data effectively. Participants also gained comprehensive knowledge of protocol writing, learning how to draft well-structured research protocols. The day concluded with guidance on citation management, emphasizing the importance of accurate referencing in academic and research work.

The workshop was led by a distinguished panel of experts, including Dr. Yuvaraj Krishnamoorthy, Dr. Gokul S, and Dr. Premkumar Ramasubramani, whose deep expertise and interactive teaching methods greatly enriched the sessions. Their guidance ensured that participants were well-equipped with practical skills and theoretical knowledge essential for their research endeavors.
