This completed project assessed 199 global diabetes care guidelines for their inclusion of sex and gender considerations. Using a custom scoring framework, we found that over 80% of the guidelines lacked sufficient gender sensitivity, risking inequitable care delivery. Our findings call for guideline reform to ensure more inclusive and evidence-based diabetes management.
