Stakeholder Consultation and Dissemination Meeting for WHO-TDR Project
PROPUL Evidence LLP organized a Stakeholder Consultation cum Dissemination Meeting for the WHO-TDR Project titled “Intersecting Vulnerabilities: Investigating Gender, Antimicrobial Resistance, and Climate Change Influences on Infectious Disease Dynamics among Marginalized Populations in LMICs.” The meeting was held at Greenpark Hotel, Vadapalani, Chennai, India, bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders from across public health, research, and policy domains.
The event saw the active participation of public health experts, researchers, government representatives, academic faculty, NGO leaders, and members of the general public. Key attendees included scientists from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), gender studies experts, and representatives from healthcare and non-governmental organizations. Their insights and interactions enriched the deliberations and made the event highly engaging.
The consultation meeting aimed to disseminate the findings of the WHO-TDR project and foster discussions on how gender, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and climate change interact to influence infectious disease dynamics among marginalized communities. It also served as a platform to identify research gaps, set priorities, and propose a conceptual framework for intersectionality analysis in global health research.
