WHO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting – Geneva
PROPUL Evidence LLP successfully completed a one-year project commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO) titled “Landscape Review on Health Effects and Sources of Exposure to Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)”, which ran from April 2024 to March 2025. This global initiative aimed to consolidate existing scientific evidence on the health impacts of PFAS exposure and identify key substances of concern that require prioritized attention.
As part of the project activities, Dr. Yuvaraj Krishnamoorthy (Project Lead) and Dr. Marie Gilbert Majella (Co-Lead) represented PROPUL Evidence LLP at the WHO Headquarters in Geneva, participating in a four-day Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Meeting. Their participation highlighted PROPUL Evidence’s recognized expertise in evidence synthesis and environmental health research at the global level.
During the TAG meeting, the team presented the project’s outcomes, engaged in in-depth technical discussions with international experts, and contributed to key strategic recommendations guiding WHO’s ongoing work on PFAS-related health risks. The meeting provided a platform for global collaboration, knowledge exchange, and alignment of research priorities across different WHO-supported work packages.
The completion of this project underscores PROPUL Evidence LLP’s growing role in supporting global public health initiatives through rigorous research and evidence synthesis. The project team Manjula Devi Neelavannan, Afrith John Poul, and Muneera Parveen K. played an instrumental role in advancing this critical body of work addressing one of today’s most pressing environmental and health challenges.
The PFAS Landscape Review Project stands as a testament to PROPUL Evidence LLP’s continued commitment to scientific excellence, research integrity, and evidence-informed policy development in global health and environmental safety.
