Providing experts for workshops in collaboration with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University
The PROPUL Evidence LLP team had the privilege of collaborating with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, to organize a series of academic workshops aimed at strengthening research knowledge and statistical understanding among students and scholars of the University. The initiative focused on the theme “Research Methodology and Biostatistics” and was well received across different levels of learners and educators.
Program Overview
In total, fifteen workshops were successfully conducted under this collaborative program. Of these,
- Five workshops were tailored for Third Year Part I Undergraduate Medical Students, focusing on the foundational aspects of research planning, study design, sampling methods, data handling, and basic statistical tools.
- Nine workshops were conducted for D. Guides, Ph.D. Scholars, and MD/MS/Other Postgraduate Students, concentrating on advanced topics such as hypothesis formulation, inferential statistics, data interpretation, ethical research conduct, and manuscript preparation.
- One Special Lecture
As part of the academic collaboration, the PROPUL Evidence team also delivered an Invited Guest Lecture on “Publishing Papers in Journals” for Medical Journalism students of The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. The lecture offered valuable insights into the process of academic publishing, covering key aspects such as manuscript structuring, journal selection, peer review, and ethical considerations in publication. It served as an important orientation for early-career researchers and aspiring authors.
